The Valley Hospital’s Gamma Knife Center is proud to have been accepted into the North American Gamma Knife Consortium (NAGKC), a group of elite centers of excellence that perform gamma knife radiosurgery.
Since its inception in 2008, the NAGKC and its 19 member organizations have engaged in research and multi-center clinical trials to advance the use of—and positive outcomes for—gamma knife surgery. The organization’s mission is to increase the clinical knowledge base and evidence related to gamma knife radiosurgery to improve public health—a commitment that the Gamma Knife Center has long shared through its own research. The center’s team—led by Co-Directors Anthony D’Ambrosio, M.D., and Chad DeYoung, M.D.—is looking forward to collaborating with the NAGKC on new, advanced research initiatives.
The Gamma Knife Center’s association with the NAGKC is just one more way Valley works to improve the health and lives of patients who have gliomas, benign brain tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, brain metastases, vascular malformations and other conditions.
